Medium Ralph Keeton in BBC 8 hour Live' broadcast reach's beyond normal
BBC Radio Cleveland decided to visit Ralph and Nikki at the Heugh Gun Battery on one of their many Overnight Ghost Hunts.
Have you ever knowingly entered a haunted area where others can hear your personal reactions for good or bad ?
Alex Hall experienced an audience with Ralph at the radio station on her afternoon show before the live that night. Alex had many reactions from the listeners during the hour long session. "It is one of the more unusual interviews I've done talking to an exorcist and medium, but fascinating nevertheless" explained Alex.
Well BBC Radio Cleveland did and was
Paul Grace in for a surprise with a ghost or two and the odd little noise.
Paul, the Crew and the BBC Bus spent a very easy start asking questions and wondering what sort of a night it would be. 10 minutes into the proceedings and the first visitor of the night decided to play with the antennae on top of the bus. Consequently it took several minutes to realign to an astounded crew who commented "It's never ever done this before and infact shouldn't be doing this. Once its connected with the satellite it's in a fixed position."
"Normally it takes seconds to find the satellite and its all over, I still can't figure out what was wrong" Paul explained, even though it was explained that the guys in visitation here couldn't figure out what the bus was doing on thier parade ground.
Over the night
on radio you clearly hear footsteps, stones thrown, people arguing about who'd pushed who and incredibly ghostly voices answering our questions.
Over the 8 hours the listeners ease drop into the seance held to bring forward the men of the battery. Then equipment starts to fail, wires suddenly twist, cameras go blank allowing sound only and then a bell is heard where no bell existed in the tunnels.

Kerrang in the country with the bizarre host
Tim Shaw. Turning up theres an old building but with a receptionist who's nude, a transvestite mickey mouse and a fearful group of kick boxers. Sounds interesting well it was, Kerrang has a reputation for dealing with the unusual and this show was no exception.
During the night Ralph wanders the modern internal settings and provides information on the who's who of energies visiting them that night. Even the presentor wasn't alone with a lady watching his every move. As for the rooms well " theres a coffin here and its got its own energies, not from the coffin but it has drawn negative energies in the room. People will suffer bad headaches very often here.." explained Ralph, just as a loud crack souneded where the real coffin was situated.
"I wanted the lights out but there was some objection and I knew there'd been a killing in the place" Ralph put bluntly.
The Kick Boxing Champion wasn't left alone either, it was explained that he'd got dutch connections that it was a hard man visiting him and that he's suffered a terrible illness that he'd fought his way out of. At first he kept saying no thinking only about familly connections and alike, but then he realised what was going on. He'd fought his hardest fight ever in holland to win the world belt against a dutch opponent. The hard man was the father and the illness was a fight too many for our kick boxing champion.
In all radio listeners called the show for advice and asked many differing questions, a strange start and an even stranger finish to the night.

Talking to Grieff Rys Jones before the start of filming Ralph asked Grieff if he believed, Grieff looked at Ralph thought about the question and said "Well some where there's a part of me that says yes and another that says how, so I need a little more convincing".
Ralph then said "But you've already seen a medium in your younger days, a few of you where curious even then", to which he looked at Ralph and said "Hmmm, thats interesting I don't know how you knew that, but, yes I went to see Doris Stokes do a show" and he looked at Ralph very puzzled.
In another location Ralph went on to shock the crew by asking them to kindly step out of the way as the gentleman wanted past. They looked on to see nothing but parted anyway to suddenly feel a blast of cold air rush past them. Next they all went into a small room at the location and Ralph explained about a field with water, ducks and fresh air to think in. Silience at first, then Ralph laughed out and said " No! not that name please any other name but that.....". Ralph then explained " I've been given the name Jones, but a first name of George who says he's in charge".
As you can imagine everyone laughed but the historian said" Actually you're right the was a Sgt George Jones here" to which a large thump on the wall made everyone silent again. In another location some time later the Grieff and the crew witnessed a wild table tipping experiment. A table tipped to only 3 inches(75mm) with one leg on the floor in a fixed position. The amazing thing is the table swng violently to this position and suddenly stopped, even more amazing were the hands of the people they were turned palm up!
After the show Grieff and Ralph walked the area and it was revealed that Grieff had infact lived very near a pond with ducks and used it to walk and think.
Research had shown the home was exorcised before some 25 years earlier by the Catholic priest. It seems the activity of the home hadn't changed in all that time.
Capital Radio call for Ralph
Imagine being called to visit London and Capital Radio. Being met at the train station and brought straight into a cafe and treated like a star. John from DNA who'd booked me said "you'll love these guys they want to show you off in a big way".
Sitting in the impressive studio a woman greeted us and said "The General's waiting for you". Sure enough the man they call the general was there and we were off. This time they he was very curious about the job, why Ralph did it, what did he do, how etc.
The he told us it was for Disney and would Ralph becareful what he said and it was agreed to keep it frightening but not too scarey. The whole interview was probably the longest and most interesting for a very long time. Explaining how, when and why it got started captivated the audience. Infact thetime flew but the information carried a few truths and quashed a few myths at the same time.
A day in the life of a Medium with an interview with the Sun Newspapers
The Sun describe Ralph as BRITAIN'S leading Exorcist......
With a little caution we entered a very well guarded entrance to the Sun building. It's as you imagine, red floors, red walls and infact red everywhere with the words SUN placed at spots you cann't imagine.
As we walked down the main foyer all the journalists looked on some pointing some just staring. The interview started as many others have "Is there anyone here now!". Ralph stared at Gisella Farrell and said "Of course!".
Once he'd got her attention she asked about the travel, situations, other mediums, what was real or not real etc. Of course all the time Ralph kept smiling and telling her about the ghost who's been standing next to her who lost his life in the building.
The interview was to be published on-line and featured at haloween. Again many questions and many unnerving answers. Everyone in the room couldn't believe what Ralph did as a job and agreed he was not what they would have typecast as a typical medium or exorcist....
