Nikki Austwicke


So who am I ?
Nikki Austwicke ! investigator, developing medium and researcher. I'm the youngster of the group but the one who also asks the most questions. To me things aren't just that simple. I need answers so I and others can then make decisions. I've always been interested in history and the background to venues etc but never thought of this as a hobby/career.


So Why the interest ?
I have my own reasons for investigating, but one has to be my curiosity with whats going on. I want to be able to experience, feel and see for myself that this is for real. Watching the 'Most Haunted' crew on tv and then meeting then through Ralph was a wonderful experience. I quizzed them about the show, the places and experiences.


What do you bring to the Team?
Look I get scared and everyone who meets me knows it! But, it doesnt stop me getting involved. I am a vital part of the team as we need someone who research's the findings. More importantly I take over with guidance in some investigations as the entities seem to react to me. I'm now used to being in control of events and having a clear head I can suggest other methods of communication. I carry many new and old 'ghostly' tools and try out techniques insisting we try before, during and after our visits to capture results on ghostly activity.

I've been in places and experienced it for myself, as a child I often wondered who it was stroking my face at night. opening my eyes and seeing no one is frightening. I have a familly who have abitlities and I'm no exception.


What else can you tell us?
My most frightening experience and one I'll never forget was at a place called Thornton Abbey. A place Known for Monk activity but no one thought to mention it to me..did they. We'd sat all night waiting, having some success but nothing to shout about. That is until a dark shape came suddenly out of the trees to our right. We were in a Range Rover, mainly for warmth. But it came so fast and straight to the window you couldn't miss it.

Ralph jumped a mile and I screamed so loud it was deafening. We all had fear and terror with us, it took us a good 10 minutes to calm down. The real shame was it wasn't captured on film. We were all affected by it, it lasted only seconds but felt like an eternity. It was a monk wanting to see me, infact it shouted for us to get out, it didn't like the fact I look scared ironically. I must say within seconds of hearing it tell me to leave we were out of there and down the road for a stiff drink. We went back an hour or so later but all seemed calm.

Also along with a spiritual group we visited the 'Ramm Inn', myself and Jo-Anne did a walk of the top floors with no lights armed only torch's to guide us. That was scarey but did me good as I'm less scared of the dark than I was. A two weeks later 'Most Haunted' filmed there and Stuart (cameraman) got attacked in the one place we all said was the most scarey - The Barn.
