Ralph Keeton attends a shoot at Jamacia Inn with Most Haunted
I feel very previliged to know and have been at the TV shoot for Jamacia Inn,
I attended and brought Ian Lawman with me.
Having met up with
the full team it is an experience I'll never forget.
The MH Team are a great bunch of people and easy to work with,
allowing you space to do your own thing and you could clearly see they'd become a close family.
It was nice to meet up with Derek Acorah again as I'd him met before on another location earlier.
Richard Felix as usual was full of life, boisterious as ever providing detail after detail.
This proved bettter later as Richard, Derek and myself went out in the pouring rain to the moors hopeful of seeing or hearing the monster out there.
Jamaica Inn and What a start !
Loved the place and the people there were polite and courteous to us.
My approach was one of being cautious,
but we were soon faced with some unusual spiritual events.
Everyone was feeling the tense atmosphere,
Derek working through the rooms carefully.
So much happened I had hardly time to catch my breath,
when everyone went in search of more.
One particular room troubled me, that where the man was hung in the boiler room,
even the court yard felt uneasy that lead to the room.
So much activity from one angry man, bent on making all who entered unwelcome.
Its at these location types you always wish you had more time, so many unanswered questions.
The most striking thing about the mirror spirit was how clearly you could see the image.
At first you have to say 'no its a lighting reflection' but the more we looked the clearer it became.
The room was active and all felt it.
Asking the spirits to leave and move on, was one of gentle serenity for all concerned.
They'd been part of the Jamaica Inn for so long they wanted to carry on with their own journey's.
It's always difficult when the camera's are on, you're never guaranteed anything will happen.
I had the previlage of being handed a camera and was able to film Richard, outside under the swinging sign.
The atmosphere was peaceful but the weather wasn't,
filming outside in the rain whilst Richard did his piece to my camera was quite unnerving.
This appears at the end of the TV show, but you cant tell how cold or windy it was but believe me its was.
A visit to Jamacia Inn is defianatly reccomended though not the boiler house,
they wouldnt let you anyway.
They told me, "it's coming down anyway, its unsafe"....good enough reason I suppose !
